IEM -SEGi Student Section Annual General Meeting 2025

The IEM-SEGi Student Section Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025 was held on the 1^站 of October 2025, 从 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at Room 2.4, SEGi University Kota Damansara. The session gathered engineering students from various disciplines from Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology (FoEBEIT). The event was hosted by Vice Chairman, Mr. Su Yiqing, with light refreshments served throughout the event.

The meeting commenced with an opening address by the engineering lecturer and advisor, 朱志明工程师, who commended the past engineering student committee members (including foreign students from various countries) for their dedication and encouraged students to stay active in organizing the professional development activities aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG7 Affordable and Clean Energy, SDG9 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, SDG11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG12 Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG13 Climate Action, SDG 14 Life Below Water and SDG15 Life On Land). Special thanks for the contribution from the former chairman, Ms. Girisha Shivani A/P Balachander.

The AGM proceeded with the confirmation of the Minutes of AGM 2024 和 presentation of the Secretary’s Report 和 Financial Statement 由 Mr. Irvin Irawan 和 Mr. Brandon Lim Jun Jie, the outgoing Secretary and Treasurer. Appreciation certificates were then presented to the outgoing committee members for their contributions.

The session continued with the election of new office bearers for 2025–2026, with Ms. Ng Nii Chien elected as new Chairman. In the closing address, she shared her vision to strengthen engagement and professional growth among engineering students. The past committee also briefed attendees on the IEM student membership application process.

The AGM concluded with a group photo session, marking a successful transition and a promising start for the new committee.
