SEGi University is delighted to announce the remarkable achievements of 31 of our students and 2 dedicated lecturers from the Faculty of Optometry & Vision Sciences who played a pivotal role in the recent Medical and Eye Screening Camp, organized in collaboration with Pusat Sathya Sai Baba Raub.
This meaningful event took place at the Community Hall in Kg Melayu Simpang Kalang, Raub, where a total of 89 patients received comprehensive eye screenings. Out of these, 54 individuals were identified and referred for further medical attention, primarily concerning cataract-related issues. Additionally, 15 people were found to be in need of prescription glasses, which will be provided to them free of charge.
This resounding success was made possible through the invaluable partnership with various healthcare organizations, including KKM Daerah Raub, Hospital Daerah Raub, Hospital Daerah Lipis Bahagian Mata, Rotary Club of Sentul, Klinik Pergigian Daerah Raub, and SEGi University. The camp extended its services to include dental check-ups, BMI assessments, screenings for diabetes and hypertension, opportunities for blood donation, organ donation awareness campaigns, and booster COVID-19 vaccinations.
