Ethical Values Statement

Ethical Values Statement

At SEGi, we are dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive academic community where ethical values serve as the foundation for all our actions and decisions. We are unwavering in our commitment to the following core ethical values:

  1. Diversity and Inclusion: We celebrate the rich tapestry of human diversity and embrace individuals of all backgrounds, cultures, identities, and abilities. We believe that diversity enriches the educational experience and is central to our mission of preparing students to thrive in a global society where we offer quality employability-based international programmes.
  1. Honesty and Integrity: We uphold the highest standards of academic and personal integrity. We value honesty, trustworthiness, and transparency in all our interactions. We expect all members of our community to act with honesty and uphold academic integrity.
  1. Respect and Dignity: We treat every member of our community with respect, kindness, and dignity. We foster an environment where all voices are heard, and differences are acknowledged and valued. We reject discrimination, harassment, and bias in all forms.
  1. Fairness and Equity: We are committed to creating a just and equitable community. We ensure that our policies, practices, and procedures are fair and impartial and that they provide equal opportunities for all. We work to rectify disparities and promote social justice.

These ethical values are not mere words but the guiding principles that inform our decisions, actions, and relationships. We are committed to continuous learning and improvement to ensure that these values remain at the heart of our institution.

We understand that upholding these ethical values is a shared responsibility, and we call upon every member of the SEGi community—students, faculty, staff, and administrators—to actively embrace and champion these principles. Together, we build an educational community that reflects the best of us, making it possible to achieve what we aspire to be.

Training:

At SEGi University & Colleges, our Human Resource Department takes a personal approach to onboarding, providing training that incorporates our core values from our Code of Conduct at every organisational level. We’re committed to helping newcomers understand our ethical standards and feel a true sense of belonging, fostering a culture of integrity, professionalism, and mutual trust throughout our community. This ensures that each member contributes to the ongoing success and ethical excellence that define SEGi.

Office for Oversight:

The Human Resources department is the designated office responsible for ensuring ethical compliance within our institution, with a designated official overseeing ethical matters across the organisation.
