The Foundation in Information Technology equips students with computer knowledge together with mathematical skills and the practice needed to meet the demands of an undergraduate study. This foundation programme also bridges the transition from secondary studies to a university degree in a variety of computing and technology related fields. Once foundation programme has been completed, students are able to gain entry into any field of business oriented programmes from universities in United Kingdom in joint venture with SEGi.
The foundation in Information Technology at SEGi is fully accredited by the Malaysia Qualifications Agency (MQA), and is recognised by universities throughout Malaysia and worldwide.
The structure of the Foundation programme is specially designed for fresh school leavers, O’Level or equivalent qualifications and who have plans to pursue a career in computing or information technology. After graduating in the Foundation programme, students can continue their studies into a range of computing and information technology degree programmes and, depending on units completed during their studies, students may be eligible to apply for advance standing.
