Pensyarah muzik kanan SEGi College Subang Jaya, Yii Kah Hoe, ialah seorang komposer terkenal dan dizi Cina dan improviser xiao di Malaysia. Beliau telah memenangi beberapa anugerah berprestij, termasuk Anugerah Seni Boh Cameronian ke-11 dan Forum Orkestra Filharmonik Malaysia untuk Komposer Malaysia. Yii telah diiktiraf sebagai salah satu suara utama dalam kalangan komposer Asia Tenggara pada generasinya, dan muziknya telah dipersembahkan secara meluas di Asia, Amerika, dan Eropah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kini di Amerika Syarikat untuk program biasiswa, Yii telah mengusahakan beberapa gubahan dan persembahan baharu. Salah satu karya terbarunya, "A message from the Mangrove Forest for Soprano, Piano and Soundscape," telah dipersembahkan oleh Anne Harley dan Mari Kawamura di The Scripps College di Claremont, California, pada 10 Feb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pada 4 Mac, karya baharu Yii, \u201cOf The Land\u201d untuk English Horn, Baritone dan Soundscape, akan ditayangkan di seluruh dunia oleh Keri McCarthy dan Aaron Agulay di Festival Seniman Kontemporari dalam Muzik di Pusat Kebudayaan Elson S. Floyd, WSU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
