Bau steril antiseptik, bisikan yang senyap, dinding putih yang terang di bahagian dalam hospital \u2013 ini adalah ciri-ciri dunia Dr. Kim Doyoung pada usia 18 tahun.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Kanser," katanya, perkataan berat badan. Ia adalah sentuhan yang kejam untuk seorang lelaki muda yang terpesona dengan otak, yang mengimpikan penyelidikan dan inovasi. Pada usia yang begitu muda, dia menghadapi kemoterapi yang melelahkan, keletihan tanpa henti, dan ketakutan kematian yang sentiasa ada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tetapi di tengah-tengah kegelapan, percikan api menyala. "Menyaksikan doktor dan jururawat berjuang untuk hidup saya membangkitkan sesuatu dalam diri saya," kongsinya, matanya bersinar dengan keazaman. "Saya mahu menawarkan orang lain harapan dan belas kasihan yang sama."<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tujuan baru ini mendorongnya untuk mengikuti Perubatan di Universiti SEGi. "Ayah saya menggalakkan saya untuk memulakan dengan ijazah perubatan," jelasnya, "asas kestabilan dan fleksibiliti." Tetapi laluan ke sekolah perubatan bukan tanpa halangan. "Perkhidmatan ketenteraan wajib untuk lelaki Korea menghampiri saya," ingat Doyoung. "Saya bimbang perkhidmatan selama dua tahun akan meletakkan saya di belakang rakan sebaya saya." Kemudian, terdapat kanser itu sendiri, lawan yang hebat yang menguji had fizikal dan emosinya. "Keguguran rambut saya adalah perkara yang paling tidak saya risaukan," katanya sambil tersenyum masam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
