SEGi University’s Faculty of Dentistry has been making waves in the healthcare industry since the launch of its five-year Bachelor of Dentistry programme in 2011. With 12 batches in total and an average of 45-50 students per batch, the faculty has graduated seven batches of students who are excelling both locally and internationally.
In 2016, the Faculty of Dentistry received its first accreditation from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) for three years. This was followed by a four-year renewal in 2019. The faculty has recently undergone the second round of renewal and is awaiting the decision from MQA.
SEGi University’s Faculty of Dentistry is known for producing students who excel both academically and in extracurricular activities. Our students have won several awards, including the best oral presentation award at national conferences, prizes for dental quizzes, and intervarsity debate competitions. They have also been selected as finalists at the Southeast Asia level for community engagement programs.
The success of our students is a testament to the quality of our faculty members. Our lecturers have been invited as guest speakers, appointed as PhD supervisors, and have shared their research globally, receiving awards for their research, clinical practice, and dental education. The faculty has signed various MOUs with national and international universities for student and staff exchange and collaborative research.
The Faculty of Dentistry is dedicated to staying at the forefront of the field. We organize continuous professional development programs for both students, alumni, and staff to keep up with the latest advancements in dentistry. Our staff is also active in research, publishing an average of 50 papers a year in renowned national and international journals.
