The Confucius Institute at SEGi University collaborated with SJK(C) Jalan Davidson’s Vice Principal, Ms. Poh Li Ly to organise a Chinese paper cutting activity for her primary 4 school students. The students were taught about the origins of paper cutting by the Chinese Director of Confucius Institute, Mr. Chen Ming Hui. After the brief history session, the students were split into groups of two and taught how to make different paper cutting patterns such as snowflakes, red lanterns, squirrels and many more. The students were extremely excited to learn how to fold an origami Pikachu.

To mark the end of the paper cutting session, the Confucius team distributed a bookmark to each of the students as a token of appreciation to the students for their enthusiastic participation.

The Confucius Institute at SEGi University wishes the students of SJK (C) Jalan Davidson all the best in their studies and a blessed Chinese New Year.
