Event: The 3 Masters 4-Day Oral Rehabilitation Symposium with Hands-On and Dental Exhibition

Two (2) Year 5 students from the Faculty of Dentistry (FOD), Melissa Wong Li Zheng and Sum Chern Yang were selected to attend the Three Masters 4-Days Oral Rehabilitation Symposium with Hands-On and Dental Exhibition sponsored by Ancora Imparo Pte Ltd, a dental education company at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 25-28 May 2018. Ancora Imparo sponsored the RM4000 ringgit course fees for the students. The event included three days of presentations and a hands-on session on the fourth day. The FOD students attended the first 3 days of the course.  Meanwhile, the multi-disciplinary oral rehabilitation symposium involved presentations by renowned experts Dr John Kois (Kois Centre Director and Affiliate Professor in the Graduate Restorative programme at the University of Washington, Washington), Dr Joseph Kan (Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and the research coordinator for the Implant Dentistry programme in Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, California ) and Dr Istvan Urban (Honorary Professor at the University of Szeged, Hungary).

This symposium was an excellent learning platform for our students covering bone generation, occlusion and gingival aesthetics. The FOD thanks Ancora Imparo Pte Ltd for their generosity in sponsoring the students.
