SPORTS SCHOLARSHIP
 
OBJECTIVES
• To recognize and reward excellence in sports and contribution to national and state level sports.
• To strengthen SEGi College’s sports team to compete for fame and glory in inter-college games.
• To strengthen SEGi College brand name associated with the sports industry and excellence.
CRITERIAS
• Scholarship recipients must represent SEGi College in MAPCU games or any other tournaments as and when required by the College.
• Scholarship recipients should at least pass with minimum grade required by the respective faculties and maintain their sports achievement at State or National level.
• Scholarship recipients are required to serve and contribute towards the furtherance and promotion of sports activities at the College, and participate in Community Services such as conducting sports clinics.
ELIGIBILITY
• Award to Malaysian students who are current state or national athletes.
• Verification by Sports Association is necessary.
• Preference will be given to medal winners at State or National Level.
• The final decision to grant the SEGi Sports Scholarship is at the sole discretion of SEGi Scholarship Board.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
• Obtain the Sports Scholarship Application Form from SEGi College or download the scholarship form.
• Scholarship application must be sent at least one month before the enrolment of the course.
• Complete the application form with certified true copy of actual and forecast result slips and all other supporting documents to:

• Short listed candidates will be called for an interviewed by 2 members of SEGi Scholarship Board, including the Dean of the relevant faculty.
• All decisions made by the SEGi Scholarship Board are final and appeals will not be entertained.
POLICIES
• Scholarships offered cover tuition fees and internal examination fees at undergraduate degree, diploma or foundation level only.
• Scholarships only cover the course of studies at SEGi College and shall not include the foreign portion of the studies and external moderation or examination fees.
• If the scholarship recipient does not meet the required academic requirement, he/she will undertake to pay either the re-sit/re-take fees as deemed necessary by the respective faculty.
• Scholarship offered is not exchangeable, nor is the unutilized portion of the scholarship refundable in cash terms.
• The Sports Scholarship is reviewed annually.
• SEGi College reserves the right to revoke the said scholarship if the recipient does not maintain discipline, attendance and good behaviour and/or participates in criminal or tortuous acts of omissions.
• SEGi College reserves the right to amend the policies and term of the scholarship without notice.
• All information furnished by the scholarship recipient must be true and correct in all respects. In the event of any inaccurate or incorrect information furnished, the scholarship is liable to be withdrawn without notice and in such event the scholarship recipient shall be required to pay SEGi College the amount of tuition fee waived, to date.
• A successful applicant, if not enrolled at SEGi College at the date of receipt of the letter of offer for scholarship, must apply for admission to SEGi College and pay the relevant application fee before commencement of the programme, failing which the scholarship offered will automatically lapse.
• Unless otherwise approved, each student is only entitled to one (1) scholarship/ bursary/ financial assistance scheme/ promotional benefits offered by SEGi College and its group at any one time. In the event that the student qualifies for more than one (1) award, he/ she must choose which one he/ she wishes to apply and accept.
• All decisions made by SEGi College on all matters to the scholarships are final.
• All scholarship recipients must abide by the Rules and Regulations of SEGi College.
