| HIGHER OPPORTUNITIES FOR PRIVATE EDUCATION (HOPE) |

| ELIGIBILITY |
| |
Students with STPM qualification: to be eligible for degree programmes offered by local private universities or university colleges, and/ or twinning degrees offered by private colleges in collaboration with their foreign university partners. |

Students with SPM qualification: to be eligible for ‘niche programme’ offered a diploma level or to pursue a foundation level course. |
| |
Student not currently registered at SEGi College. |
| |
Students with UEC qualifications. |
| REQUIREMENTS |
| |
For STPM students: to obtain a CGPA of at least 2.0, and at least 5 credit passes at SPM level. |
| |
For SPM students: to obtain at least 3 credits at SPM. |
| |
For UEC students, to obtain equivalent to 3 credits at STPM. |
| APPLICATION PROCEDURES |
| |
Obtain a copy of the HOPE Application Form from the secretariat office or download the application form from the website. |
| |
All required documents must be submitted with application. Closing date as advertised. Applications received after the closing date will be disqualified. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. |

Short listed candidates will be called for an interview and counseling session. |

Short listed candidates must produce original copies of the examination results and all other relevant documents during the interview. |
| |
All decisions made by the selection committee are final and appeals will not be entertained. |
| POLICIES |
| At SEGi College, |
| |
Recipients may have to pay ‘subsidised fees’ which are in most cases comparable to those charged by local university. |
| |
The Scheme covers course fees at undergraduate degree, diploma level or foundation level only. |
| |
If the recipient does not meet the required academic requirement, he/she will undertake to pay either the re-sit/re-take fees as deemed necessary by the respective faculty. |
| |
The Scheme offered is not exchangeable, nor is the unutilized portion of the scheme refundable in cash terms. |
| |
Recipients must also contribute to SEGi College’s activities, including participation in promotional activities during their period of study at the College. |
| |
SEGi College reserves the right to revoke the said scheme if the recipient does not maintain discipline, attendance and good behaviour and/or participates in criminal or tortuous acts of omissions. |
| |
HOPE reserves the right to amend the policies and term of the scholarship without notice. |
| |
All information furnished by the recipient must be true and correct in all respects. In the event of any inaccurate or incorrect information furnished, the scheme is liable to be withdrawn without notice and in such event the recipient shall be required to pay SEGi College the amount of course fee waived, to date. |
| |
A successful applicant, if not enrolled at SEGi College at the intake date of offer for the scheme, must apply for admission to SEGi College and pay the relevant application fee before commencement of the programme, failing which the scheme offered will automatically lapse. |
| |
Unless otherwise approved, each student is only entitled to one (1) scholarship/ bursary/ financial assistance scheme/ promotional benefits offered by SEGi College and its group at any one time. In the event that the student qualifies for more than one (1) award, he/ she must choose which one he/ she wishes to apply and accept. |
