The Upper Iowa University (UIU) Bachelor of Science (4+0) program at SEGi provides students with the opportunity to experience US-styled education. This style of education focuses heavily on the practical elements of learning with an emphasis on classroom interaction between the students and lecturer as well as group projects, presentations and field trips outside the classroom. The American Degree Programs focus more on assessing the students throughout the course work and give less percentage to mid-term and final examinations.
The UIU Bachelor of Science (4+0) program also allows for full completion locally at SEGi University or alternatively students have the flexibility to interchange between SEGi and UIU’s Fayette Campus in the United States.The program is based on the same structure as conducted at UIU.
Upon completion of the 4 year Bachelor of Science program students will have the opportunity to gain employment across a number of industries (depending on their choice of major).

The marketing major builds on the foundation of the business core by enabling the learner to apply marketing theory and principles as well as to research and critically evaluate the marketing implications of current events, emerging trends and changing perspectives in the international marketplace | Management in business refers to the act of getting people together to accomplish desired goals. Comprising planning, organizing, resourcing, leading, and controlling an organization (a group of one or more people or entities) or effort for the purpose of accomplishing a goal. The Management major is designed to build on the foundation of the business core to enable the learner to apply theoretical organizational strategies to practical business situations and to present, analyze and evaluate options to effectively integrate material and human resources for enhanced productivity toward a socially responsible end. | Psychology is both an academic and applied discipline concerned with the scientific study of mental processes and behavior. The finance major is designed to build on the foundation of the business core to enable the learner to utilize appropriate theories to operate in various areas of the financial marketplace | The Communications major is interdisciplinary in nature, reflecting the belief that all communication media are engaged in essentially the same process (gathering information and creating and disseminating messages) and that the present-day communication professional must be schooled in the basic skills— writing, speaking, and visual communication—and must be able to develop the ability to plan, organize, evaluate, and think strategically.
