Human resource management is concerned with the administration and development of the organisations personnel. Arguably the most important asset of any company, the organisations personnel are the ones who individually and collectively contribute to the achievement of the business objectives.

As more organisations recognise the need to ensure their people are trained and managed in ways that support organisational goals, human resource management is increasingly becoming an integral part of organisational strategy. With the increasing significance and complexity of the human resource functions and workplace legislation, including workplace health and safety and employee rights, there is increasing opportunity for professionals with a human resource background.

The SEGi University College Bachelor of Business Management (Hons) in Human Resource Managament programme is designed to equip students with specialist knowledge in the area of human resource management, including recruitment, staffing, leadership and strategy development, training and development, remuneration and workplace relations, while also giving them a solid grounding in the core areas of business and management.

The combination of theoretical content and practical experience delivered in the programme will also assist students in developing key transferable skills including communication skills, management skills and personal professional skills.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the Bachelor of Business Management (Hons) in Human Resource Management programme will be equipped with knowledge of the fundamentals of business as well as specialist skills in human resource management.

Graduates will be qualified to find work to find work in a wide range of human resource roles, and be involved in the analysis and planning of human resource activities in organisations. Graduates are likely to find positions in human resource management, employee relations/industrial relations, payroll, training and development, occupational health and safety, recruitment or remuneration.
