“We invite you to join us in a lively and fast developing profession of early childhood education where you will find both professional and personal satisfaction. We aim to provide knowledge and skills to budding early childhood educators and to change the attitude of adults towards the children.”

Infants and toddlers experience life more holistically than any other age group. Early experiences set the pattern for later learning. During this period, young children develop the skills and attitudes that will help them enjoy literary success for life. Adults who are most influential in building and shaping their children’s development interact in ways that understand they ways in which a child learns and the most effective way to convey the message. Early childhood education often focuses on children learning through play.

The Parent or Primary Caregiver often plays the largest role in the development of a child in their early years, however, a childs development is often also influenced by other sources including preschool or child care programs. Early childhood education takes many forms depending on the beliefs of the educator or parent and is a crucial part of a child’s development, effecting how they see themselves, how they see others and how they develop thoughts. For this reason it is imperative that early care programmes emphasise links with family, home culture, and home language as well as the educator themselves.
