Programme Coordinator

Job Description:

  • Accountable to the Head of School for the overall administration and management of the programmes.
  • Receive and review students' feedback on the services provided by the School and to take corrective actions where necessary.
  • Oversee and coordinate teaching, tutorials, counselling schedules, examination timetables and response to student enquiries.
  • Attend to the needs of full time, part time and distance learning students. To be responsible for induction and orientation programmes for students.
  • Assist the Head of School to provide adequate pastoral care to students. To monitor closely the attrition of students and take necessary remedial actions to prevent it.
  • Prepare documents and submit the required information to comply with the requirements of the appropriate authorities (e.g. MQA and MOE).

Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management/Education or equivalent.

  • Register new student in Education Management System (EMS) and record the branch fees
  • Responsible for daily collections from students, issue receipts and update Statement of Account
  • Generate Reminders and prepare Statement of Account to be distributed on a monthly basis
  • Check daily collection report after closing
  • Perform daily parking collections whenever required
  • Assist in calling and texting to students who have outstanding fees
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects/matters

It has come to our attention that unauthorised persons are impersonating SEGi University and Colleges (“SEGi”) to recruit employees by asking for applicants to pay for the recruitment evaluation, employment process, immigration application, and other processes.

Please note that it is NOT the practice of SEGi to ask for such payments.

The scam so far involves use of a fake mirror website and domain name of ‘segiunivcollege.org’, hiring officials going by names of ‘Yong Vafa’ and ‘Dr. Julius Sengah’; posting advertisements through ‘asiateachingjobs.com’ directing victim to the scammers; and even implying their activities are endorsed by the Ministry of Education Malaysia (‘Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia’).

Please do not respond, give information or pay any money to them.

We cannot discount that the scammers or any other scammers will utilise other methods to defraud victims and SEGi can in no way be liable or responsible for the acts of such third parties.
