Lecturer cum Programme Coordinator – Creative Multimedia (School of Creative Design)

Responsibilities :

  • To teach students at diploma/ degree level in creative multimedia
  • Develop lesson plans from the approved curriculum
  • Deliver the lessons according to the lesson plans
  • Assess & evaluate students progress
  • Preparing and marking of examination papers
  • Responsible in compiling student works in printed and digital form for archive and display purposes
  • To coordinate all academic aspects for the diploma/degree programme
  • To undertake the development of diploma/degree programme which includes the teaching contents, materials, references, lesson plans, assessment method, assignment briefs and etc.
  • To facilitate the Q.A. process and validation of the programme from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor / Master degree in Multimedia Design / Interactive Media or related field.
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Full time position only.
  • Preference would be given to those with art & design knowledge and background training in the multimedia design discipline.
  • Preference would be given to those who are proficient in multimedia authoring using Adobe Flash and/or Macromedia Director. Scripting knowledge in either or both software is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in audio & video editing using both PC and Macintosh platforms in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe SoundBooth and Macintosh Final Cut Pro; knowledge in web design & digital imaging using Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Fireworks, Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator; 3D animation using AutoDesk 3D Studio Max are preferred.
  • Prior relevant experience in college/university education is an added advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with strong command in spoken English
