The purpose of this course is to provide participants with proficiency in Japanese Language at basic level to advanced level and a cultural understanding through real life situations. This course is also designed to prepare participants for the Japanese Proficiency Test.

The course focus on the  following areas from beginner to advanced levels :

• Understand and use forms & functions required for the self-introduction
• Understand some essential expressions to conduct class
• Understand and use the forms & functions required for identifying people
• Ask and tell who they are, where they are from and what they do for living
• Understand and identify the names of places
• Understand and identify the names of transport
• Listen to and identify locations
• Talks about family members and differentiate names between their own family’s and other’s
• Use proper ways of asking for permission in different situations.
• Write on essay on why they study Japanese.
• Write a formal memo.
