BA (Hons) IN ACCOUNTANCY AND FINANCE

Trained professional management / business accountants are in increasing demand from management consultants and organisations in general as professionals who understand the business from a holistic viewpoint. The accountant needs to understand the whole operation of the business in order to add value to the organisation and show stronger commercial awareness whilst being able to manage and use financial systems. If you want to acquire a wide-ranging finance and business qualification, then the Accounting with Finance course is ideal.

This course is designed to widen access to the accounting profession through a broad-based programme of study. The first two years are common with the BA (Hons) Accounting. In your third year you have a choice of optional subjects to help you maximise professional accreditation. Instead of a project in year four you will do two extra modules on topics of your choice. Following satisfactory performance in years one and two of the BA (Hons) Accountancy & Finance degree, you may be given the opportunity to transfer to the BA (Hons) Accounting. Exemptions from professional bodies for BA (Hons) Accountancy & Finance graduates are determined on a case-by-case basis.
