What is your dream career and future plans?
It has been my dream to become a global marketing director. Pursuing current field of interest would equip me with relevant knowledge in marketing. I believe the education provided by SEGI College would act as a springboard for me to leap higher in the near future. Currently I am keeping impulse with possible internships to secure opportunity for me to expand my horizon beyond my studies, especially in the real world of marketing. Knowing that marketing knowledge alone would not be ample in this ever-changing globalized world, I am reading some book about economics and considering participating in CFA ( Chartered Financial Analyst) examination in the coming years. |

Being a scholarship recipient, what has benefited you?
Undeniably this scholarship has reduced my parents’ financial burden, considering my siblings are pursuing their studies in tertiary education like me as well. Getting into SEGI College is only possible with this grant of scholarship and this provides me opportunity to soak into high quality education. |

What is your successful story you would like to share with?
I had been struggling hard to strike a balance between my study and my interest during my secondary school life. This was mainly due to my commitment and enthusiasm in basketball. Despite objection of my family members and friends on overdosing in sports, I managed to persuade them by scoring my SPM excellently and winning a scholarship from National Basketball Association to further my studies in tertiary education. It was hard to convince them, but not until I achieved these personal success few years ago. Pursuing your own interest and excelling in academic studies are equally important. Life is only vibrant and meaningful when we have both or even more, I guess. |
