DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTANCY

What is your current course and curriculums taking part?
I am taking Diploma in Accounting and i am currently in semester 3. I joined Student Council in Segi Kota Damansara and also giving opportunity to hold the position as a treasurer.

What is your dream career and future plans?
My dream career is being a successful accountant. I hope I will be able gain more experience in this field. Besides, for my future plan I wish I could use my knowledge from my study to expand my dad’s business effectively.

Being a scholarship recipient, what has benefited you?
Being a scholarship recipient, i was given a great opportunity to work with the marketing department of the college as a student helper and this really helps me to know more the real world working life and also the important of communication among people. Besides, i also being able to open my eyes when i giving a chance to take a video clip in collaboration with 8tv in order to promote the 8tv scholarship.

What is your successful story you would like to share with?
I would consider my successful story happened when i was in my secondary school. During my secondary, i was lucky to take part in various of co-curriculum activies such as taekwondo, ping pong and also chinese language society.I had arranged myself for the training every friday as i joined taekwondo club and i successfully gained to the level of red belt when i leave secondary. Besides, i was also grateful enough to get chosen to represent school to play in MSSD Ping Pong competition. Moreover, i was also the president of chinese language society when i was in form 4.Being able to take part in all this fantastic co-curriculum activities has just brighten my secondary life. I would said that time management really play an important role in my life, i must always able to manage my time in order to play hard in all the co-curriculum activities that i took part and also having enough time to study for exam. But i think the most important key to success  is 'Work Hard' as we know ' Sow and You Will Reap'.

What is your current course and curriculums taking part?
I am currently taking Diploma in accountancy. I have participated in Youth Ablaze(a Christianity club).

What is your dream career and future plans?
I will complete my diploma and degree in SEGI. Then, i will probably take up part time ACCA course. I am a very ambitious girl. I am hoping that one day i can run for the election and become a politician. This is because i love to speak for my people and for all Malaysian. For a dream career, i will only hope that i will achieve financial freedom one day. I am not the kind of girl that wants to live depending on husband or family. I want to have my own business(an accounting firm) and still be able to travel(my favourite hobby).

Being a scholarship recipient, what has benefited you?
Of course it does. I am from a middle-class family. My parents are working in a restaurant in Ipoh(a small town in PERAK). Their earnings are less than rm1500 a month. Without the scholarship i will not be able to further my studies. Thanks to 8TV and SEGI, more students like me are able to pursue their dreams. THANK YOU so much for opportunity.

What is your successful story you would like to share with?
I am not a perfect scorer academically. I believe in a balance in both curriculum and academic. My motto is nothing is impossible. All that one have to have is a little faith in yourself and a lot of faith in God. He will bring you further then you can ever imagine. Just never give up and strike for the best. If i can do it, you can too.
