Being a successful accountant is my dream.  But not just an ordinary accountant. I want to be a successful person not only good in this area but other areas as well. By setting a goal, it makes me moves forward toward it. However, I would not limit myself to it.  I believe interaction between people is very important. It is crucial for a person to have a good social skill. Indirectly it will help me a lot from different aspects. From my point of view, I am on half way of what I aspect to be. My current work has made me a sociable person and with the course that I taking now, it makes me step closer to my dream. Education is very important to everyone. It helps us to be more critical thinker and mature. From primary education to now, it provides us a better evaluation on what we do. By taking an accountancy programme, the syllabus taught by SEGi College makes us know better of what is happening in the society. I believe finishing the course will helped me achieve my dream even closer.

My dream career is to be a successful accountant. It has been my dream career since I was in 14 years old/form 2. Currently, I'm doing my Diploma in Accounting in SEGi College, Subang Jaya. After this, I'm planning to pursue my degree either locally or oversea and then continue with ACCA/CPA.

Learning is an ongoing process. I would like to achieve my dream as soon as possible. Estimated time would be 5-8 years. I hope to make my dream career a reality in this short time frame.

Education played a very important role in my life. Without education, I will not be where I am today and it would be impossible for me to achieve my dream career. When I entered the college life, I learnt a lot in building my personality, self esteem and improved my social life. Mingling with international students gave me the privilege to learn about their respective culture, customs and language. Education will certainly help me in many ways, there are a lot of things for me to learn both in career wise and the outside world.

I am a girl that wanting a million of thing in my life. It keeps on changing as I going through different stage of my life. When I was studying in science stream during my secondary, I am so wanted to become a doctor. But then after my SPM, I have chosen to future my tertiary education in business scope. I am taking Diploma in Accounting (DIA) in SEGI College Kota Damansara and the reason why I choose to study in Accounting is actually relate with my dream career and my future plan. My dream career is being a successful accountant. I hope I will be able gain more experience in this field. Besides, for my future plan I wish I could use my knowledge from my study to expand my dad’s business effectively.

In my opinion, a 19 years old girl like me is just having a far journey from reaching my dream career. I am still now on the stage where I got to equip myself with knowledge and also skill to communicate with others. But I believe with my determination on my life, this far journey will not stop me from reaching my dream career but make me stronger to fulfill my dream.

Education is a very important element in each of us. On my point of view, education really contributes a lot towards achieving my dream. Education is a continuous process that starts from primary, secondary until tertiary education. Through education, I learnt how to communicate with people no matter what races, religions and cultures they are. Besides, I can also establish behavior such as acceptable in my life because I got to receive various opinions that maybe totally different from mine with the open heart. Lastly, education is the most direct way that provides us knowledge such as science and art. Its not only enhances our knowledge but extend individual world view. With the helps of education, I will be able to equip myself to achieve my dream in a more efficient way.

I have many dream careers in life but all share one common characteristic: it is a job that enable me to make positive changes to society. Ultimately I would like to establish an institution for secondary students as I believe the ages between 13-17 is the most critical period in one's life and I hope that with the right medium and tools, I will be able to motivate them to strife to adopt a noble goal.

Unfortunately, I am still FAR from realizing my dreams. But I guess in the meantime, as long as I am involved in the helping profession, I am already living a good life.

Tertiary education provided me with ample opportunity to venture into topics of human mind that I have never thought of venturing into and taught me many skills needed to understand the human dynamics. Right now, I'm thinking about pursuing further for a master's degree so that my understanding is enhanced.

Dream career eh? Well that is definitely one big question in small words. I deeply dream to be one of the world’s best automotive engineers, to be able to design, create, and improvise cars in general to ease the lives of people everywhere. This will remain really important in the future unless one has the ability to ‘teleport’ (think Jumper). Future plans in my case would be to have my own business in the automotive field. (Think Smith’s Motor Enterprise).

I’m currently in my first year, doing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. So if all goes well, I’ll be graduating in 2011. Then I plan to continue studying to get a Masters in Automotive Engineering, which will take about a year. Well with hard work and perseverance I think my dream career is within the grasp of my fingers, which is in the near future (say 5 years).

Education, everyone preaches about it from parents to teachers and the list goes on. It’s a stepping stone, a foundation, a path to a brighter and more colorful future. So do whatever it takes, to the best of your capabilities with the time that is given to you because that is what I’m doing and so far education is bringing my dream rapidly closer to me.

Jason Khor Kok Kuan

I am studying Mechanical Engineering. I have a few dream careers. Firstly I want to be a design engineer. I dream to design and innovate an object to become useful and convenience to all human kind. Besides that, I hope to move on to automotive side too which deals with cars. For my future plan, I will go on step by step to have my own company for engineering.

If my dream career is at 10th floor high, I am now 7th floor below.

To me education is the first start of everything; if we don’t have education, I think is better we forget about any dream. There is not many people will be like Dato’ Lim Goh Tong, although he do not have much education but still he is a billionaire. So, how education will help me? I would say education will give a job so that I could kick start my career in the future.

My dream career has always been engineering since an early age. At first, I wasn't so sure of which engineering to specialise in but as time passed, I realised that I had a passion for mechanical engineering. As for the future, I would like to design and create a new line of cars that are more practical and user friendly.

I would consider myself halfway there since I'm already studying my degree course right now. In a few more years, I'll be able to reach my dream career and all of this is thanks to 8tv's scholarship fund which has removed a heavy burden from my parents shoulder.

Education is the main essence that has helped me and still is helping me towards reaching my dream career. I would be probably lost and nowhere without education because it weighs a heavy price on a person. I'm also planning to further my education with a Masters in engineering once I've finished my degree and I'm hoping that 8tv would be able to support that cost as well.

As a big dreamer, I have many things i want to do in life. I wanted to do something that can make me famous and recognized. Something like a celebrity. I was actually planning to do forensic science during my schooling days but my ambition took a 360 degree turning when i started liking my father's business. Now, at the age of 19, I have finally decided what my dream career is. My dream career would be to expend and manage my father's event management company and take to an international level.

I have a really long way to go before reaching my dream career as I only started my Diploma in Business Administration 9 months ago. But this will not slow me down because I'm eager to finish my diploma as soon as possible and continue my degree in Australia.

Education plays a very important role in today’s world. Organizations all over the world only want outstanding candidates and the best among the best to work with them. I believe that education is helping me to equipment myself with knowledge and skills on how to manage a business. Since my father does not have any education qualification other than his SPM results, it is up to me to take over and direct the company to a new direction and bringing it to a new and higher level.

Chew Yoke Yuen

My dream career is to become a sports reporter of mass media. I hope to achieve my dreams with a reputable organization, where I can realize my dream of sports reporting, especially on the areas of covering international sports events.

I am just a freshman in my studies now. Therefore I still have a long way to go. I hope to achieve my dream career in 5 years' time. I hope to specialize in international football events by starting off my career as a local or national sports reporter and build my way up to international sports reporter.

I am currently majoring in Communication and Management for my Degree and this will help me achieve my dream career. Communication skills are important because reporters need to enhance and develop their communication and expressive abilities in both written and verbal form. As a sports reporter, it is important to cover networking events with others on the field, such as interviewing athletes, coaches and officials of different levels in various type of sports, editors and other sports reporter to get ideas and information for new sports stories. Therefore, i believe that education will lead me there.

She Ai Li

I am currently pursuing a degree majoring in communications and management. Definitely, my dream career has to be related to my current major. Hence, I would love to have a successful career in public relations, journalism or management. I love meeting and dealing with people so my ultimate dream career is to be a prominent figure in public relations and work my way up. I have lots of plans for the future. Career-wise, I hope to be successful in my career and be able to support myself and my family. I want a job that I love doing, not because I have to do it. I also hope to work in a prestigious and renowned company such as 8TV if given the chance. This is because I believe that 8TV would be a stepping stone to kick start my ultimate dream career.
I am still studying in college. I am only in my first year and i have three more years to go. Therefore, I still have a long way more to go. Every college graduate has to begin from the bottom of their career and work their way up. It is not an easy thing to do but I believe that sheer determination and hard work would help us achieve what we want in our lives. As the saying goes, "when there is a will, there is a way".

Education is so important nowadays. We never stop learning even when we are old. Without education, we can never go far in our lives. To achieve my dream, education and alot of other skills are needed such as speaking eloquently. However, education is the main key to achieving this dream of mine. Without it, my dream will definitely not be realized. Academic qualification, at least a degree is needed in the career world now. The subjects that I have taken in college such as public speaking will come in handy for my future job. What I am learning now in college will help me greatly in achieving my dream to be a successful career woman in future.

My dream career is to be an ACCA accountant! I really want to contribute to the country. I wish that if one day I could actually make it in becoming a politician. This is because through this way I can help others and my country, Malaysia to achieve great things! It is fake if I say I do not want to make big money but besides making money I will want to do great things in life too such as helping needy souls out there!

I would compare my dream goal as the peak of Mount Everest. I think I am not even half way there. However, now I am still struggling to overcome all the obstacles facing through out the journey of hiking there. I think I have done well handling them though!Education is like a stepping stone to me. Without it i can achieve my dream goal, but it will definitely be a very hard way! Besides that, I feel education definitely boost up my self-confident and make me a mature individual. In another word, Education is must for all and there is no limitation to it!

Kelvin Long

My dream career would be a job that I enjoy doing very much as I believe happiness increases productivity. Since I am in the engineering field, I prefer work related to technology. I wish to achieve greater heights in life through my career. My future plan is to acquire as much knowledge and experience so that I would be a successful engineer. In short, I hope that I will be able to repay my parents kindness and make significant contribution to the people of Malaysia.

There is still a long way to go but I will not give up. For now, I will focus on my studies and continue reinventing myself to wipe out my weakness.

Quality education is very important for everyone and SEGi College has never failed in that prospect. Education has provided me a foundation to gain a better picture of what engineering is like. The knowledge that I acquire from my schooling days till now will be useful when I start my career. Therefore, my dream is made possible if I manage to obtain proper qualification. At this point, I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to 8TV for awarding me a scholarship to further my studies. My dream is now within reach with the scholarship fund.

Alicia Mun (2006)

I've always been inspired by how the media is such a powerful tool in terms of communication. Personally, I'm truly amazed with the works of the media industry especially the print media. My dream career is to be a successful print journalist. I strongly believe that I'm capable of achieving my ambition soon. The reason why I respect the media industry is because I'm confident that it has the ability to make a difference in other people's lives as well as in our society itself. It is definitely difficult to make a change alone by myself but I hope that by sharing my thoughts and feelings with the rest of the world, I'm able to influence others. Unity is the key of success, right? My plans for the future revolve around securing a stable job as a journalist either in the field of politics or entertainment in a reputable company in the print media industry as well as learning about the ropes of the media industry during the course of my job in the hopes of establishing my very own news agency someday.
People say that my dream career seems to be pretty impossible for me to achieve. They always tell me how difficult it actually is to become a successful journalist but I somehow believe that if I'm determined enough, I'm capable of making it happen. I graduate with my Diploma in Advertising Design in September this year. After that, I intend to work for about half a year before pursuing my degree in mass communications majoring in journalism as well as public relations. I plan to apply for a scholarship that sponsors me to study my degree abroad because I want the experience of studying in a foreign country.

Education is an essential part in achieving my dream. In my humble opinion, I believe that as students, we must be capable of balancing our grades as well as extra-curricular activities because those activities help us in developing our personalities. Therefore, in school, I was active in extra-curricular activities that certainly played an important role in building my leadership skills. Even now, I still make it a point to participate in college activities, keeping myself active with various clubs in college. After obtaining straight A's in SPM, I applied for the 8TV Scholarship Fund. I'm so thankful for the chance to pursue my Diploma in Advertising Design course in SEGi College with the help of the scholarship. I opted for a diploma in the advertising field as I wanted to be able to learn the various aspects of the communications industry. Upon my graduation in September this year, I hope to obtain a scholarship to pursue my degree in mass communications majoring in journalism as well as public relations because I want to have a versatile qualification in the field of communications. If my plan to pursue my degree fails, I'll still be able to work in the advertising field since I do have a solid foundation in advertising. During the duration of my course, I've learnt a lot about how the advertising field works. The syllabuses taught are useful because they range from photography classes to marketing subjects. Learning about the ropes of the advertising industry was extremely interesting.
